THEO CLIENTS JUMP START ON-LINE SALES IN FIRST MONTH!

June 1, 2000, Vancouver and Kelowna, BC—Within the first month of using Theo Digital Gallery System, gallery owners are overwhelmed with the immediate response and actual resulting sales on their online gallery. Theo Digital Gallery System’s user friendly format has enabled galleries to quickly integrate the online gallery and Customer Relations Management System into their sales process. Collectors have voiced an appreciative response to the gallery owners who have distributed digital photo packs via email to prospective clients by purchasing art themselves.

Galleries have witnessed completed sales within the first month and are validating Theo digital gallery system created by the Internet company, Aire’d Ideas. Based on this success, Howe Street Gallery and Hambleton have signed on to Theo within the last two months and gone live with their online galleries.

All of Theo’s clients have had an increase in both sales and their collector client base within the first month of going live. With Assiniboia Gallery in Regina, more than three quarters of the sales for Allen Sapp’s show were initiated online and completed in the gallery or via phone. Assiniboia Gallery replaced the cost of their printed catalogue which traditionally exceeds $5000 with an online preview, national advertising and digital photo pack invitations to their clients. The online preview resulted in more than half of the new buyers from major cities across Canada and the Eastern United States.

Within the first month alone each gallery online with Theo has received an average of 25 visitors per day with an average of 40 images being viewed. A quarter of these online gallery visitors log into the galleries private collector pages. The galleries using Theo have each added over 40 collectors to their email database within the first month. On average, each of the galleries are sending approxiametely 8 digital photo packs and responding to 20 emails per week deriving 15% of first month sales from this customer management system. Of the clients that were mailed show invitations with the gallery URL, 10% browsed the online gallery and 10% of these browsers actually purchased artwork. These outstanding results have shown that online galleries and customer management systems have become a critical factor in the sales and marketing of original art.
